when is your wedding?

When it comes to one of the most important days of your life, deciding when to get married is a major decision. The timing of your wedding can affect everything from availability to finances and even the weather. Before you dive head-first into planning your wedding, it's important to consider all the factors that should influence the date of your big day.

First and foremost, think about when you and your partner are available. It's no good booking a date several months down the line when neither one of you have time off from work or have any weekends free in the lead-up. Between both of you, think about which dates are most suitable and start there – if an overseas honeymoon is on the cards, then bear this in mind when considering dates too.

The second consideration should be finances – is your church or guest venue available for the date that you've selected? Will there need to be a large fee involved if so? These questions must be taken into account before you make any concrete decisions. Be sure to do some budgeting along the way so that you truly understand what it takes to pay for a wedding day – sometimes there are hidden costs which can surprise couples unaware.

Thirdly – consider family members and friends who may need to travel in order to partake in your festivities. While it's understandable that different guests will have different responses based on various factors like cost and distance, thinking carefully about how long they might need ahead of time can help them plan effectively and avoid disappointment further down the line. A lot of couples opt for earlier dates in order to give people more time – but ultimately this comes down to personal preference.

Finally don't forget about seasonal variations too - some months may mean colder or wetter weather than others (i.e June & July out here in Australia). Thinking about temperature may help determine an indoor/outdoor venue location as well as whether additional protection needs to be implemented too like gazebos for shade or marquees for heaters etc. Will any other part of your celebrations be outdoors, like photography etc.? If yes, then this kind of external factor must not go amiss either!
